Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all financial transactions related to Godrop's transportation and delivery services. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Ride Cancellation Policy

2.1 User Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges vary based on timing and ride status:

Within 2 minutes of booking ₹0 (Free)
After 2 minutes, before driver arrives ₹10-₹20
After driver arrives at pickup ₹30-₹50
After ride/delivery starts No refund

2.2 Driver Cancellation

Driver Cancellation: If a driver cancels after accepting your ride, you will receive:

  • Full refund of any advance payment
  • Automatic search for another driver
  • ₹20 credit for inconvenience (if applicable)

3. Refund Eligibility for Different Services

3.1 Bike Taxi Refunds

  • Driver doesn't arrive within 15 minutes of ETA
  • Vehicle condition doesn't match description
  • Safety concerns verified by our team
  • Route deviation without consent
  • Accidental multiple bookings

3.2 Delivery Service Refunds

  • Delivery delayed beyond 2 hours of ETA
  • Wrong item delivered
  • Package lost during delivery
  • Delivery to wrong address

3.3 Food Delivery Refunds

  • Wrong order delivered
  • Food quality issues (spoiled, cold)
  • Missing items from order
  • Restaurant cancellation after payment

3.4 Non-Refundable Scenarios

No Refund Cases:

  • Change of mind after service completion
  • User not available at pickup location
  • Incorrect address provided by user
  • Service used partially or completed successfully
  • Promotional rides/credits (unless specified)
  • Wallet top-ups (non-transferable, non-refundable)

4. Refund Processing Timeline

Step 1: Refund Request Submission

Submit request via app within 24 hours of service completion

Step 2: Verification Process

Our team reviews GPS data, driver logs, and communication records

24-48 Hours

Step 3: Refund Approval & Processing

Approved refunds processed to original payment method

Step 4: Bank Processing

Time taken by payment providers to credit your account

UPI: 2-24 Hours | Cards: 3-7 Days

Total Processing Time: Refunds typically reflect within 3-7 working days depending on your payment method. UPI refunds are fastest (usually within 24 hours).

Wallet money refunds are processed differently:

Automatic Refund Process: Failed transactions are automatically refunded within 7-10 working days. If not reversed automatically, contact support within 48 hours with transaction details.

Note: For cash payments, refunds are processed to your Godrop wallet only. All disputes are governed by Indian laws and jurisdiction of Mumbai courts.
